A woman was left ‘in stitches’ after losing her iPhone – just to find out that she was trapped under the outer decking.
Television director Tom Lori, 30 ورسللےShe was trying to help her 30-year-old wife Kim when she lost her phone last month.
When their initial attempt to locate the phone failed, they used the ‘Find My Phone’ service and were able to locate it nearby.
After activating the alarm on the lost phone, the couple dug into their home to find traces of the missing device.
Eventually, Tom heard an alarm from outside and the pair soon realized that they had somehow managed to find their way under the decking.
“She was washing less and she put her phone on the deck on a pile of clothes,” said Tom.
“He heard a bang but nothing happened at that time so he didn’t think of anything.
“A few hours later, he realized that his phone was missing.
“I found my iPhone service and could see that it was nearby so we sounded the alarm.”
Despite recognizing the location of the phone, Kim was unable to retrieve it.
After reaching down and trying to grab it, Kim even tried to break the decor with kitchen knives.
She was eventually found with a sticky coat hanger and returned the phone.
She was able to retrieve the phone using a temporary recovery tool between the decking boards.
“We first tried to open the deck but it was nailed instead of rod,” added Tom.
“Then Kim tried to get him out of some kitchen utensils.
“It finally came out of a combination of coat hangers, sticky tape and knives!”
