There have been reports that Apple is developing iPad models with LED screens. And now, a South Korean news site, AlecApple plans to release its first OLED iPad in 2022, while the iPad Pro range will get new screens by 2023, says the company, which is usually featured with its screen display reports.
The iPad claims to release next year with a screen size of 10.8 inches, which suggests it could be the 5th generation iPad Air.
The report claims that by 2023, Apple plans to launch an 11-inch OLED iPad and a 12.9-inch OLED iPad. These are usually the screen size of the iPad Pro line.

Different OLED configurations for different iPad models

For 2023, the iPad can use more flexible OLED than hard OLED. Flexible OLED is more expensive than rigid OLED, however, it provides more freedom of design and the bezels can be made thinner. Apple uses the flexible OLED of its iPhones. Apple may also use LTPO technology that allows the Pro Motion 120Hz refresh rate, which is currently exclusive to the iPad Pro.
It is said that Apple is going to manufacture the first rigid OLED iPad Air because the production of flexible OLED still does not meet its requirements.
