A woman died after a collision Teamside Monday morning.
Police Called for reports A collision between a white BMW 220D and a pedestrian on Denton’s Ashton Road this morning (July 12) just before 1 p.m.
The pedestrian, 49, was taken to hospital.
Despite the excellent work of the hospital staff, he was soon pronounced dead.
BMW failed to stop after the collision and continued down Ashton Road.
Shortly afterwards, the car collided with an uncontrolled Ford Transit, which was parked at the junction where Denton Road turns into May Field Street.
BMW also failed to stop after the second collision.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
Sergeant Andrew Page of the GMP’s Serious Coalition Investigation Unit said: “This is a tragic incident in which a woman has lost her life with sadness. ۔
“We hope there are people who may have information about the driver of this BMW or witness the two collisions who may have dashcam footage of the car or follow up on the incident.” Which can be helpful in our inquiries.
“The second collision took place on a residential road, so we are asking people in the area to check their CCTV cameras for any footage of this BMW.”
