In horrific armed robbery, a woman was beaten with a bat and threatened with an explosion In Salford.
At around 5am on Thursday (July 1), four masked men broke into a property on New Street in Switzerland.
They threatened a man and a woman inside the house with theft and knives.
The woman was also beaten.
GMP officials say that during the incident, the hunting dog, a Chihuahua man named Bhut, either escaped or was taken away, although it is not yet clear.
The victims suffered serious injuries and were left paralyzed during the attack.
Detective Sergeant Zoe Marsden of the Salford Division of the Greater Manchester Police said: Shaking
“There is no doubt that it will be a concern for locals and local dog owners as well, but so far our investigation has shown that possible dog theft was not the primary goal.
“We are working hard to establish the motives behind this attack and to reassure the locals, as our investigation continues, we have stepped up patrols in the area.”
No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.
