The Super Eagles came off the bench to score the second goal of the Yellow Submarine against the Black and Blues.
Arnat Danjoma scored his first Champions League goal for Villarreal in a 2-2 draw with Atlanta on Tuesday at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
With the score tied at 1-1 against the Italian top flight organization, Nigeria’s chances to join the yellow submarine from English championship side Bournemouth were introduced to the Senegal international in the 61st minute.
Twelve minutes later, he justified his inclusion after a goalkeeper Juan Mousso was shot in the head by Giard Moreno’s ball, advancing Unai Emery’s men.
That wouldn’t be enough to secure a victory for the hosts, although Atlanta were eventually knocked out in the 83rd minute by Robin Gosson with a goal that ensured the winner was no winner, no winner note.
This is the second goal in the tournament after Atletico Madrid lost 3-1 to Club Bridge in October 2018.
