Intel Arc Graphics card Just a short distance away, possibly landing in Q1 2022, but we’re starting to see all sorts of leaks and rumors about upcoming chips. And – well, no matter how legitimate they are – it’s not like the usual graphics launch.
Recently, we’ve seen two conflicting rumors about the top-end GPU in the Intel Arc Stack, which is rumored to be part of the 512 EU (Execution Unit). Laker rey greymon55 apparently saw an Intel internal slide showing that Intel’s top was about to be targeted. RTX 3070, As seen. Hot hardware.
Intel’s slide shows that 175-225w SKUs compete with 6700xt and 3070.September 7, 2021.
Meanwhile, a leak. Geck Bench. The result is an unknown Intel GPU with 512 compute units, much lower performance than the RTX 3070, as our friends reported. Tom’s hardware.. And for the next few months, it’s just going to be the way things are.
This is just the beginning.
The Intel Arc didn’t just come out of thin air. We’ve been hearing rumors for years about Intel launching a full graphics card to suit Nvidia and AMD Radeon, and just recently we got a glimpse of the DG1 powered by Intel Xe. CES 2020..
And in this show, when we first saw these GPUs in action, it was powering a laptop. Locked behind a large box of glasses, Destiny 2 is struggling to run. – But it was also impressive, considering how fast the GPU was developing. Fast forward, and Intel Xe LP graphics now power both laptop and desktop integrated graphics.
It is highly unlikely that the benchmarks we see at this point are in any way a reflection of what any graphics card based on this architecture can do.
Even if Intel’s flagship alchemist GPU fails to match the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, it doesn’t really matter much, and the reason is that many people can’t afford a GPU at this level. Especially the way the graphics card is priced right now.
Looking back. Steam hardware survey, The most powerful graphics card in the top 10 GPUs. Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super., And even that is only 2.10% of GPU steam users. And, they account for 47.04% of all Top Ten GPUs using Steam.
And so it makes sense that with the first run of its exciting class graphics card, Intel will enter the mainstream market, where it can stand to gain more market share from AMD and Nvidia. Because, while Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090. And the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is an incredibly powerful graphics card and we love it – both Team Green and Team Red have completely forgotten about the budget.
Again, it’s been almost a year since both Nvidia and AMD released their current generation GPU lineup, but we still have nothing for budget gamers. And that means Intel has a clear segment of the market that is largely ignored right now.
Neither the Nvidia GeForce RTX 1650 Super nor AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT. Has changed, leaving a large gap. So, while it may be frustrating if Intel doesn’t have anything to buy the RTX 3080, it doesn’t make much sense for the company to go after the high end at the moment – but that doesn’t mean it should. Will not.
Just remember that during Intel Architecture Day, Intel unveiled the code names of four generations of its Xe Arc graphics processors. So, while we maybe not Given an RTX 3080 (or even an RTX 3070) competitor right now, it’s unlikely that Intel will ever challenge the top of AMD or Nvidia’s product stack. Now we just have to wait and see what happens.
