I have a great response from the emergency services at a train station. Salford Following reports of a man colliding with a train tonight.
British Transport Police officers and firefighters are currently dealing with the incident at Irm Train Station.
The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed, however Men Suppose a person is hit by a train.
The British Transport Police and the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for more information.
Pictures taken tonight show several police vehicles at the scene.
Firefighters are working at the scene, as well as the Network Rail Response Unit.
According to National Rail, all train lines between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central are currently blocked.
Trains are expected to be canceled or delayed until the end of the day.
The incident affected the East Midlands railway line between Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street.
It also affects the north line between Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street.
In a tweet, TfGM said: “Services between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central are unable to operate due to a police incident.
“Disruption is expected by the end of the day.
“Road transport has been requested to run in both directions, see ranationalrailenq.”
