Stockport Road is closed this morning after a burst waterman.
This meant lower water pressure in the area. Four schools were closed on the first day after the summer holidays.
United Utilities updated customers at 7pm last night and said the leak had been repaired.
A spokesman said: “The good news is, we have now repaired the leak on Stockport Road but a technical glitch has been reported in the water mains network in your area which is still affecting some of your water supply. Has been. “
This morning, Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted that Stockport Road in Ashton Online is closed between Williams Street and Grosvenor Street.
North Bowen Lane is closed due to Burst Waterman and United Utilities is believed to be on site for repairs despite online public updates.
