A passerby was taken to hospital with minor injuries after being hit by a car Christian.
Police were called to Barton Road yesterday evening (July 8) at around 6.40.4040 pm after the collision was reported.
After a preliminary investigation, officers found a car and pedestrians involved in the collision.
Greater Manchester Police The pedestrian is said to have suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A section of Barton Road was closed Thursday evening while the incident was cleared.
Drivers heading northwest at the junction with Liverpool Road were evacuated, disrupting bus service in the area.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to report the collision at 6.40pm on Thursday (July 8, 2021) near Barton Road, Eccles.
Officers attended and interrogation, a car was parked and a pedestrian collided.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
“No arrests have been made.”
In a post on Twitter at 7.23pm on Thursday, a spokesman for Greater Manchester (TfGM) transport wrote: “B5211 Barton Road, Eccles.
“The road at the junction with Liverpool Road is blocking northwest travel.
“Find an alternative route. Just follow Diamondbus NW and gnwbus (go northwest) for turn information.”
The incident was called off by 8pm on Thursday, TFGM said on Twitter.
Northwest Ambulance Service was not involved.
