Police are working to identify the man who died on a railway track in Salford last night.
British Transport Police were called to Irm Station at 8.59am.
The pictures show a number. Police vehicles deployed at the scene Firefighters also participated, as did the Network Rail Response Unit.
A BTP spokesman said paramedics also attended, but unfortunately one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are working to identify the deceased and inform his family.

All trains between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington Central were closed for the rest of the night.
The incident affected the East Midlands Railway between Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street, as well as the Northern Line between Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street.
