Police cordoned off a main road in Chorlton when a man fell off a mobility scooter.
Emergency services were called this afternoon (Wednesday) at around 1.10 pm on Barlow Junction Road.
A man in his 80s was found falling from his mobility scooter, police said.
The nature of his injuries could not be confirmed, the incident is said to be ‘ongoing’.
The Barlow Turn Road was closed in both directions between Wilburham Road and the High Lane in Chorlton.
It has since reopened, but emergency personnel are still at the scene.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to the scene around 1.10pm on Wednesday when a man fell off his scooter.
A NWAS spokesman said: “We can confirm that there is an ambulance on Barlow Turn Road, responding to a patient who fell off a mobility scooter.
“The incident is still going on.”
