Police investigating the murder of a 16-year-old boy have launched a search for a key suspect. Manchester Evening News. Understands.
Ramirez West – known as ‘Marrow’ – and three friends were in a blue BMW chasing fast.
Police have now established that two other vehicles were following him.
Car Ramero and his friends had an accident and fled.
But Ramero slipped, two men were caught with him, and he was cut in both legs with a fish and a knife.
He was found in Norden Street, Old Trafford, last Thursday at about 6-6 p.m.
The attack was preceded by a series of incidents in the Princes Road area of Mass Side that police are investigating as part of a murder investigation.
They are trying to find the gray BMW that was one of the pursuing cars.
Described by his family as a “beautiful soul”, Ramero was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital where he died.
Police have now issued an urgent appeal for phone and dash cam footage from the pre-chase and self-chase incidents that occurred in peak hour traffic.
He is appealing for information and footage following a series of clashes and violent riots in south Manchester.
Between 5.30pm and 5.50pm on September 9, the GMP received numerous reports of collisions, mainly reports of gray BMWs and blue BMWs as well as armed men fighting.
Vehicles traveling along Great Western Street are reported to have caused several failed stops before heading to Princess Road.
On Princess Road, a blue BMW was seen moving in and out of traffic while two men on foot tried to escape.
When the blue BMW stopped, one man threw a knife through the driver’s window while the other tried to break the passenger window.
It is also believed that a boy was carrying a firearm on Princess Road. However, spies now believe it was a similar firearm.
Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: “In an attempt to escape the scene via Mass Lane East, the BMW later collided with another vehicle before heading towards Upper Choralton Road.

“Both the Blue and Gray BWM were traveling against the traffic on the road before the Blue BMW hit a tree. The occupants, a group of men including Ramero, fled on foot and two other men fled. He chased after those who got out of the gray car.
Afterwards, Remiro was fatally shot on Norton Street, Trafford.
Chief Inspector Liz Hopkinson of the GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “It has been a complex investigation but our detectives are working fast as we continue to identify and follow up on the events we believe are true. That were involved in these incidents.
“All of these incidents took place in broad daylight on busy streets and we are sure that there are people who have witnessed these incidents. Contact the police as it could be important in identifying those responsible.”
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who has footage of vehicles or breakdowns around Princess Road and I urge anyone to contact us. We deserve strong responses. Correct. Work and come forward. “
