Catching a young girl on the playground Police say it is considered an “attack” in North Manchester.
This comes at a time when efforts are underway to nab the culprits and patrols in the area have been stepped up Blackley’s Where the “relevant” incident took place on Thursday evening.
Police said the girl was playing in the field of Erbi Guru at around 9 pm when three people approached her.
They caught her, however, she managed to fight freely, flee and sound the alarm.
Officers attended and an investigation was launched.
In an update released today, a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) The spokesman said the incident was “not a sexual assault or kidnapping attempt and is currently considered an attack.”
No arrests have been made yet, he added.
But detectives say they are doing “whatever it takes” to track them down.
And anyone with a witness or information is being asked to come forward immediately.
Two of them were white, a mixed race, police said.

Patrols in the area have now been stepped up to reassure.
Louis Edwards, a detective from the GMP’s Manchester division, said yesterday: “It’s an incident and thankfully the baby managed to escape from the men.
“I would like to reassure this community that we are doing our best to find these people and have stepped up patrols in the area as we investigate.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or any man in the area who has complied with these explanations.
