Police have released a CCTV footage of a man they wanted to talk to, after which a man headbutted him outside a takeaway. Stockport.
The bomber struck shortly after 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, outside New Taiwah Takeup on Belmont Street in Hatton Norse.
Hunting – A 40-year-old man approached a man who pushed him on the head, causing him to fall backwards and shake his head to the ground.
He was taken to hospital with severe head injuries and facial injuries.
He underwent life-saving surgery and has since been discharged from hospital, police said.
No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.
Police have now released a CCTV footage of a man they wanted to talk to about the attack.
Joel Masunder, a detective constable in the GMP’s Stockport district, said: “This is a shocking attack that has resulted in surgery for the one person who was killed.
“We will not tolerate such treatment in Greater Manchester and are conducting a number of investigations to identify the culprit and bring him to justice.”
“If anyone was in the area at the time or has any information that could help the police in their investigation, please do not hesitate to get in touch.”
