The body of a man has been found after a fire broke out in a house in Bolton.
Police, fire and ambulance personnel were called after a fire broke out in a house on Sunai Side Road after 10 a.m. yesterday (Wednesday).
Three engines of fire in the living room of a domestic property put pressure.
A man’s body was found inside the address.
Greater Manchester Police today (Thursday) confirmed that they have launched a joint investigation into the tragedy with the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
Photographs from the scene included several GMP vehicles and officers.
Police officers were guarding both ends of the street and were seen outside the gate of the property where the fire broke out.
Externally, the building was not in danger of catching fire.
A GMP spokesman said: “Police were called to a letter on Cincinnati Road in Bolton just after 10pm on Wednesday, June 30, following reports of a fire and welfare concerns.
Officers attended, and unfortunately one body was found.
“Police, along with fire brigade investigators, are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding his death, and the interrogation is ongoing.”
A fire service spokesman said: “At 10.05am on Wednesday, June 30, firefighters were called to report a fire on Sunside Road in Bolton.

“Three fire engines from Bolton and Bolton North stations rushed to the scene. The fire engulfed the living room of the home.
“Firefighters used breathing equipment, a hose rail and a positive pressure ventilation fan to put out the fire and are currently on the scene.”
