The Met Office has released a “prediction” that could hollow out the England team as it seeks the glory of the Euro in the final against Italy on Sunday – millions of flying ants are flying this weekend and They can land in areas including Wembley.
About three months each summer, flying around England are ideal for seasonal insect mates.
That, of course, includes north-northwest London, and the event was spectacular on Friday when the Met Office tweeted pictures of weather radar, along with rain clouds and ants flying around London. It’s over.
“Our radars are moving more than #Morning this morning – they’re actually bugs!” The Met Office said. “Where it rains a few showers, many echoes are actually insects.”
In view of this picture, insect experts have said that the ant could cause equal trouble to the players and spectators in the Euro 2020 final, while they will also appear in the center court in the Wimbledon final over the weekend.
Adam Hart, a professor of science communications at the University of Gloucestershire and a colleague at the Royal Entomological Society, told Sky News that the swings signaled the start of this year’s flying ant season.
Professor Hart added: “If conditions are right on Sunday, there could be more than three lions on the shirts at Weimley and across the country.”
